Essential Documents for Bangladeshi Students .

If you’re a student from Bangladesh aiming to study abroad or complete official academic processes, here’s a streamlined guide to the documents you’ll likely need.

Step 1:

  • A copy of the candidate’s international passport
  • Power of attorney
  • Document proving paid 50 % of the lawyer’s fee
  • Secondary School Certificate – SSC 
  • SSC Academic Transcript
  • Higher Secondary Certificate – HSC 
  • HSC Academic Transcript
  • Each document must bear the official stamps of the Ministry of Education and Science, as well as an apostille from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bangladesh 
  • Photographs – 4 color photographs – 3,5/4,5 cm.
  •  A document for proficiency in the language of teaching in the prospective course of study – for applicants who will not go through language or specialized training.

Most universities offer a 9-month language program in Bulgarian or English, complete with an exam at the end. Some universities even provide a fast-track option: you can take the language proficiency exam as soon as you arrive. If you pass, you’ll dive straight into your degree program without needing the full course—saving you time and getting you closer to your academic goals!

Step 2:

Once you’ve received your university admission approval—typically 2 to 3 months after beginning the application process—it’s time to start preparing your visa documents. Getting these in order early will help ensure a smooth transition as you plan your study abroad journey!

  • Necessary documents for visa D for study purpose:

  • Application for visa

  • Medical health insurance covering 30 000 euros, duration 1 year, valid in Bulgaria
  • Bank statement with 5500 euros savings of you or your parents,
  • Document for housing – rent contract or dormitory acceptance,
  • Criminal record from your country of origin, which is legalized (2 originals)
  • Acceptance letter from the Ministry of foreign affairs of Bulgaria
  • Photos of you
  • Copy of the passport
  • Passport in original
  • Paid governmental fees

 

Step 3:

ID RESIDENCE PERMIT CARD PROCESS

  •  This process is organized by the lawyers and Immigration department.Application for ID card
  • Passport in original
  • Copy of the passport
  • Acceptance letter from the Ministry of foreign affairs of Bulgaria
  • A Letter of the University for paid semester fee.
  • Criminal record from your country of origin, which is legalized and translated in Bulgarian language (1 original)
  • Document for housing – rent contract or dormitory acceptance,
  • Bank statement with 4000 euros savings of you or your parents,
  • Medical health insurance covering 30 000 euros, duration 1 year, valid in Bulgaria
  • Paid governmental fees
